Suffolk sport, and the sports subdomain
A small number of the links still pointing at this domain are after the sport pages, and specifically the tennis section. If that is how you arrived, here is what was there and what happened to it.
Two addresses for the same thing
The archived record shows sport served from two places: a /sport/ directory on the main site, and a separate sports.suffolkweb.co.uk subdomain. Both carried a tennis section at /tennis/, and both still have links pointing at them today.
Running the same content on a subdomain and in a directory was common in the early 2000s and is now firmly a mistake — it splits the signals a search engine uses and doubles the addresses anyone has to maintain. At the time it was often just what happened when a section grew and somebody had a spare subdomain. It is a decent illustration of why we now argue for one canonical address per page, which is a recurring theme in our search work.
What the record shows
About nineteen sport pages survive in the Internet Archive's index of this domain, across roughly 1997 to 2006. Tennis has its own section in both locations. There are also archived audio files, which fits a site that was already doing Suffolk radio streaming and presumably saw no reason to stop at music.
We have not read the pages. The Internet Archive was offline while this site was being built, so we have the index of what existed and not the contents of it. We are not going to invent match reports, club names or results to fill the gap — this is somebody's local sporting record, and inventing it would be worse than leaving it thin.

The history here belongs to the address rather than to this company. suffolkweb.co.uk published from 1997 until around 2006 under previous ownership; Fleeta Limited registered the lapsed domain in September 2026 and trades as Suffolk Web. We did not write any of it and do not claim it. We have simply stopped the old links returning nothing.
